Doctors Expand Patient Awareness with Internet Presence

Health care marketing firm Fabric Partners launches new Web sites for national cosmetic surgery and dermatology practices

Los Angeles (PRWEB) November 13, 2005 -- Quality information is key to good patient care. Doctors now are realizing the value of building a patient-friendly Internet presence.

Prospective patients are looking for quality information on procedures, before and after pictures and comfort in other patients' success stories. “We recently were hired to work with a cosmetic surgeon to build a Web site that attracts new patients,” said Erlend Wilhelmsen, President of Fabric Partners in Los Angeles. Doctors no longer shy away from Internet marketing and they realize that patients are online.

Fabric Partners opened its doors in September of 2005, to provide a bridge between patients and their doctors and between doctors and their medical equipment companies, for informational as well as marketing purposes. The company accomplishes this for their clients by creating a complete marketing plan which can include brand management, a promotional campaign with direct mailings and media advertising, an extensive Web site, and Search marketing. Fabric Partner's Web sites even can offer a virtual consultation for prospective customers.

The study Health Information Online from the Pew Research Center showed that 57% of online women have looked for information online about a certain medical treatment or procedure. Women often use the Internet to research procedures before they make a decision. Wilhelmsen added, “If you are looking to attract women considering medical procedures, it would be wise to build a solid Web site and invest in Internet marketing.”

While most doctors see their web site as an indispensable marketing tool, it’s not the only reason to have a quality site. “When your support staff spends hours every week answering questions from patients over the phone, answers that could have been posted on the Web, it’s a cost issue for practices,” Wilhelmsen added. “Better information and communication means better educated patients.”

About Fabric Partners:
Fabric Partners is a medical marketing firm. We work with medical practices to attract and retain more patients, improve patient communications and accelerate growth through innovation and effective use of Internet marketing.
