C-Search Announces the Release of C-Search R1.4 – Now with Index Compression

C-Search supports partial database and document indexing by allow the organization to choose exactly which documents and fields should be included in the C-Search index for each monitored database. With the release of R1.4, C-Search now offers a number of attachment compression options. Enabling these options can deliver a significant reduction in index size.

In addition to a choice of compression options, other new features found in R1.4 include:

- Set index frequency at the database level. Databases with a high level of activity may now be scheduled for indexing at more frequent intervals than other databases.
- File type exclusion lists. Lotus Notes does not support the searching of all file types. C-Search can now be configured to skip any particular file type as it crawls the domain to ensure optimum performance is delivered at all times.
- Improved support for a variety of browser types.

C-Search is licensed at site and enterprise levels and runs on any Domino server R5.01 or later.

C-Search products include the full Domain version, plus a Mail and Domino.Doc (Document Manager) versions. The full version of C-Search includes the mail and Domino.Doc monitors.
