New catoliner.com Website Offers Exclusive Gifts for the Cat Lover

Catoliner.com offers exclusive gifts for the cat lover, including tee shirts, sweatshirts, mousepads, and stationary, featuring characters from a black cat alphabet.

Worcester, MA (PRWEB) November 16, 2005 -- Appropriately launched on Halloween, catoliner.com offers unique tee shirts, sweatshirts, mousepads, and stationery featuring characters from a black cat alphabet.

The headline typeface, cat-o-liner, was inspired in 1981 by owner/designer Debi Gardiner’s cat, Onyx. Unlike many other figurative typefaces, cat-o-liner uses only natural feline poses/positions and doesn't rely on multiple cats to create the letter forms. Furthermore each letter represents the first letter in a word associated with the letterform itself. A is for alert, B is for bathe... right through to the sleeping cat of Z, for zonked out. The cat-o-liner typeface contains all 26 letters of the english language, and is a natural for spelling out the messages printed on the shirts and mousepads. You can even custom order notepads printed with the names or nicknames of all the cat-lovers on your shopping list.

Cat-o-liner designer Debi Gardiner has been in the design and illustration field for nearly thirty years, and has run her own company Gardiner Design for the past 20. The cat-o-liner alphabet has nearly as long a history. Cat-o-liner first appeared in the International Typeface Corporation’s publication U&LC in 1981, has been used by Scholastic Magazine, and is featured in Jean-Claude Suarés book, The Indispensable Cat.

At catoliner.com you'll find not only clothing and paper-goods for sale, but also a few surprises. There is even a page devoted to cats Onyx and Taj, the inspirations behind the original cat-o-liner alphabet and the new catoliner.com website. Cat-o-liner items are exclusively sold through www.catoliner.com.
