(PRWEB) November 17, 2005 -- Triplehill Accommodation launched its new Macedon Ranges focused accommodation booking service at Tilwinda Homestead earlier this week. Ros Marchbank director of Triplehill Accommodation said it was a pleasure to offer such an exciting business venture within the region. The service will market local accommodation providers through a new website, www.triplehillABS.com.au. Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service aims to increase visitation to the Macedon Ranges and to provide an effective and coordinated approach for booking accommodation and other services.

Kylie Lethbridge, Tourism Development Team Leader of Macedon Ranges Shire Council said , ‘Macedon Ranges Shire Council is applauding the initiative of Triplehill in the development of this exciting initiative. A booking service for the Macedon Ranges will benefit not only accommodation operators but the tourism industry as a whole. The Macedon Ranges Accommodation Association (MRAA) has done an exemplary job in coordinating the industry and the accommodation booking service provided by Triplehill is the next logical step. Ms Lethbridge also said, ‘The Macedon Ranges Shire is in the process of negotiating a service agreement with TriplehillABS which will be finalised in the near future.

Ms Lethbridge encouraged all operators to embrace the service.

The booking service offers a 24 hour service via the internet and will soon launch an office in the region. Howard Maylor owner of Tilwinda Homestead Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service - Kyneton Launch and President of the MRAA said, ‘As an accommodation provider the need to provide a 24hr booking service has been a paramount issue for a long time. This service will provide potential customers an efficient and easy way to book accommodation in the region.

Mr Maylor said that the service will be particularly advantageous to small operators who don’t have promotion or marketing tools readily available to them.

Dr Leann Brown, co-director of Triplehill Accommodation believes that, ‘the service will ensure a greater percentage of tourist enquiries are converted into actual bookings. At the moment clients are doing all the searching for available properties themselves. Sometimes successfully and other times not. It will be a positive step forward to ensure clients can book a venue from a single phone call or email enquiry.

In addition to offering accommodation bookings the team at Triplehill Accommodation Booking Service will be working with the Tourism Development Team, local tourism operators and accommodation providers to develop a range of exciting regional ‘tours’ to market through the service.
