Sportsbook TV Show Drives Record 2 Million Online Downloads to Become Largest TV Gaming Series
The new Odds Squad television show created by Sportsbook has been downloaded more than 2 million times in its first month.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 17, 2005 -- The interest in online gaming has grown to a new level with a record over 2 million viewers watching the Odds Squad at www.Sportsbook.tv in the first month of broadcasting and podcasting.
The Odds Squad follows a group of sportsfans who gather at a friend's home each week to research this week's games. The superfans review the lines in Vegas and on Sportsbook's website.
Sportsbook's Director of Marketing, Alex Czajkowski, expects the November downloads to exceed the September and October results. "We want to open the Odds Squad to a broader audience of sportsfans who are interested in more than just the talking heads."
"With the addition of our incredible free desk calendar and free poker DVD offer, we expect hundreds of thousands of fans will come to the Sportsbook website to watch the show."
Executive Producer Andrew Wyant stated, "I believe that 2 million viewers of an online television series is a record and makes this one of the most watched non-network television shows in the world."
www.Sportsbook.tv provides free information about sports and gaming. New episodes of The Odds Squad premiere online at Sportsbook.tv and on cable on CourtTV as paid programming weekly on Saturdays at 10am Eastern/Pacific, 9 a.m. Central.
