Images Jewelers Places Second in National Jewelry Design Competition
The 2005 Jewelers of American Design Competition, Indiana region, held on October 16th declared Images Jewelers the winner of the second place prize in the $3000 and over category.
Elkhart, Indiana (PRWEB) November 17, 2005 -- Images Jewelers, a custom jewelry design studio based in Elkhart recently placed second in the Indiana regional division of the Jewelers of America Design Competition. Images Jewelers' entry, a pair of oval shaped Burmese ruby earrings totaling 4.02 carats set in 18 Karat yellow gold each surrounded by 8 oval shaped diamonds totaling 2.91 carats set in 18 Karat white gold, placed second in the $3,000 and over category.
Winners were evaluated based on overall design, marketability, practicality, wearablility, and craftsmanship.
Lead designer and Images Jewelers' owner Robert Klose was thrilled that "after more than five years out of the design competition scene it was wonderful to return with such great results". Steve Gerencser, assistant designer, stated, "as a newcomer to jewelry design competition, it was exciting to be rewarded with such a high honor in my first competition." Both designers were recognized at the Indiana Jewelers Association annual conference on October 16, 2005.
