Turning 50 Plus Consumers Into Producers: A National Product Search

Share Article

Gen Plus™ is announcing a National product search to find products invented, created, and owned by adults over 50 years of age.

Within 5 years, 78 million Baby Boomers in the U.S. - the strongest, most powerful segment of the US consumer market in recent history - will have reached or surpassed the age of 50. Gen Plus™, a web-based organization (http://www.genplususa.com) dedicated to impacting the 50 plus market in a unique way, aims to change the way society thinks of people over the age of fifty. In fact, it wants to influence the way 50 plus people – Gen Plussers – think of themselves. Not just as consumers, but as producers.

That’s why Gen Plus™ is announcing a National product search to find products invented, created, and owned by adults over 50 years of age. Product submissions are limited only by the ingenuity of their creators: books, children’s games, music recordings, DVDs, independent films, jewelry, crafts, packaged inventions, solar-powered anythings, and products we haven’t imagined.

Products that are considered “market-worthy” by the Gen Plus™ panel of judges will be distributed via the Gen Plus™ website to the broad US and Canadian market. Twelve winning entries will be given a feature spot on the Gen Plus™ blog, one per month. To submit a product, candidates will submit their product description through the contact link on the website at http://www.genplususa.com

Gen Plus™ has already created a job search program to facilitate career seekers in the 50 plus niche. “Many are simply too knowledgeable to retire but suffer from the ageism prevalent in America today,” says Corinne Copnick, spokesperson for Gen Plus™, which is based in Los Angeles. “At the same time, a large segment of the plus generation needs to earn money. We can help them get their products out there.”

“Gen Plus™ is looking for the best of the best,” Copnick adds. “The products we are showcasing will only be those developed and created by those over 50 who don’t have distribution channels available to them. We intend to get their products out to the market and help create revenue for them.”

Gen Plus™ provides relevant, current services targeted to the 50 Plus generation. Services include job search, online dating, products, and education.
