Quickshift, Inc. Announces Support for MS SQL Server 2005

The technology behind Quickshift™ for MS SQL Server will prove a proactive solution to performance of Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

Quickshift Inc., an innovative developer of performance acceleration technology for Microsoft Windows and SQL Server, today announced it will support Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Quickshift™ for MS SQL Server 2005. The company has scheduled general availability for Q1 2006.

With Microsoft releasing their new pricing schedule for SQL Server 2005, Quickshift, Inc. will also be updating its retail pricing to reflect the 20% derivative of per processor MS SQL Server licensing.

Microsoft has set the enterprise edition of SQL Server 2005, for business critical applications, at $24,999 per server processor. Per processor pricing starts at $5,999 for the standard edition (for medium-sized businesses), and $3,899 for the workgroup edition, aimed at small businesses.

Purchases of Quickshift™ for MS SQL Server 2000 made before December 31, 2005 will lock in the ability to evenly exchange licenses for Quickshift™ for MS SQL Server 2005 within 90 days of the general release date. This allows customers to receive they Quickshift™ for MS SQL Server 2005 product for the Quickshift™ for MS SQL Server 2000 price.

Quickshift, Inc has further announced a year-end promotion. All purchases made before December 31, 2005 are eligible for the Lighthouse Program. To take advantage of the 50% off retail pricing offered in the Lighthouse Program, customers need only to agree to allow Quickshift, Inc. to post their company name and logo to its website.
