U.S. Author Mike Broemmel Named to Staff of Turkish Literary Magazine

Critically acclaimed U.S. author Mike Broemmel named to the staff of "Istanbul Literary Review," a literary magazine headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.

SOUTH MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, U.S.A. (PRWEB) November 19, 2005 -- Mike Broemmel, a critically acclaimed author who divides his time between South Miami Beach, Florida, and Denver, Colorado, has been named to the staff of the "Istanbul Literary Review," a Turkish-based literary magazine published quarterly. As a member of the "Istanbul Literary Review," Broemmel will contribute a piece of short fiction to each issue of the magazine and will write a column addressing topics of international interest. The column will be entitled "Side Lines."

"Istanbul Literary Review," while a magazine with a home office in Turkey, nevertheless will have an international reach. The magazine draws its staff not only from Turkish nationals but from writers from around the world. “Perhaps more than anything else I was attracted to the fact that 'Istanbul Literary Review' will be bringing writers together from all over the globe,” Broemmel remarked in regard to his appointment to the magazine’s staff.

Broemmel is the author of two anthologies of literary short fiction, published by BeWrite Books, a European publishing house. Both "The Shadow Cast" and "The Miller Moth" have won critical acclaim in a number of different countries around the world. In addition to these two collections of short fiction, Broemmel’s work was included in two other anthologies of short stories published in 2004: "Kaleidoscope" and "The Creature in the Rose." In the past year, Broemmel has seen his work published in a couple dozen different magazines and periodicals in addition to "Istanbul Literary Review."

Broemmel presently is working on a new novel. Additionally, he is the author of play that will be produced in three major cities in the United States during the 2006 theater season. Broemmel’s books are available from any major bookseller in the brick and mortar world and from online merchants such as Amazon.com.
