The Photizo Group announces a New Product Development Boot Camp for marketing and engineering New Product Development (NPD) professionals January 25 -27 in Lexington, KY. The program is designed to help participants gain a competitive advantage through more thorough knowledge of NPD best practices. It is the only NPD training available for professionals in central Kentucky.

This intensive two and a half day session is based on a review of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) body of knowledge. Attendees can quickly get up to speed on the latest techniques and practices in this very important field. The compressed schedule packs a lot of information into a short time without taking employees away from their work for a lengthier program.

According to Ed Crowley, a partner of the Photizo Group, “This session will thoroughly cover the best practices and most current thinking associated with new product development. The format is highly interactive and covers all aspects of this subject. Even those NPD professionals who have already had some exposure to the subject will come away with fresh ideas they can apply to their work right away.”

An additional benefit is that the course reviews material that is covered in the rigorous New Product Development Professional certification exam. As a result, the boot camp is great preparation for individuals who are interested in taking the NPDP certification exam later.

The boot camp will cover a range of topics that NPD professionals must understand to effectively contribute and compete in their specialized field. These include:

  • Product strategy
  • Portfolio management
  • New product process
  • NPD tools and metrics
  • Market research / market Intelligence and NPD
  • NPD teams, people and organizational issues

Companies quickly get a return on investment when their employees attend NPD training. "Businesses like Cingular Wireless, Abbott Laboratories and others have seen their investment in NPDP certification pay off," said Crowley. "Individuals benefit through better job performance and enhanced career opportunities, while organizations achieve greater process consistency and discipline. We are excited about making this training available to help professionals in this area take maximum advantage of the certification opportunity."

The Photizo NPD Boot Camp will be held in Lexington. Pricing for individuals is $1,495, and group discounts are available. Breakfast and luch will be provided for attendees.
