CM Fitness Introduces First-Ever Weight Training Video for the Elderly

Certified Instructor Craig Marcacci applies his 10+ years of experience in working with seniors and the elderly to create "Easy Does It!" a 30 minute, no-impact senior fitness video featuring a cast of his actual students. The video takes the viewer through a series of warm up movements, followed by a mild full body workout and cool down stretching. This doctor approved regimen helps seniors improve balance, increase flexibility and ease daily tasks in only a few short weeks of use.

ST. LOUIS (PRWEB) November 19, 2005 -- Available today is the first-ever weight training video for senior citizens and the elderly entitled “Easy Does It!” Targeting seniors aged 65 and up this no-impact workout focuses on helping seniors improve strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health. Developed by certified fitness instructor Craig Marcacci, in consultation with reputed geriatric physicians, this 30 minute regimen is available in both VHS and DVD formats.

The time-tested program presented in “Easy Does It” which Marcacci has used over the past 10 years training individuals in one-on-one sessions and leading group classes was easily adapted to a portable video format for use by those who are less able to travel to classes at a gym or cannot afford personal training services. The video begins with a series of warm up movements, followed by a mild full body workout and cool down stretching.

"Easy does it!" is a no-impact regimen designed specifically to address elderly fitness requirements while keeping safety the highest priority. “Any impact is too much impact!” says Marcacci who leads a group of his actual students through the workout on the video. Marcacci explains, "Easy does it!” eliminates the risk of injury by avoiding any impact or quick movements which may cause an older adult to miss a step or suddenly strain tissue. This frame-friendly no-impact exercise regimen helps improve flexibility, balance, strength, posture and cardiovascular health.

Dr. Barbara Caciolo, a board certified physician in internal medicine and rhuematology, has this to say about the video, “Take back control of your mind and body. Improve both your mental and physical well being with this simple and fun 30 min workout.” “Very thorough, well structured and well presented, tailored perfectly for the mature adult.” says, Horacio Marafioti, M.D., FACEP
