SEA Expands its Supplier Executive Briefing Schedule to Two New Key States
Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) expands its series of Executive Briefings for aerospace, defense, and space suppliers. Supplier firms learn about the industry conversion plan for the supply chain.
IRVINE, California (PRWEB) November 20, 2005 -- The Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) conducted initial Executive Briefings in Texas and New York for aerospace, defense and space supplier companies, marking the launch of SEA’s rollout in these states. The Texas briefing took place at the NASA facility in Houston on November 7. It was hosted by The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, and Rockwell Collins. The New York briefing, hosted by Lockheed Martin, took place at their Owego facility on November 18.
A series of Executive Briefings will be scheduled in both states, as well as in California, Connecticut and Florida.
SEA is the Joint Program Office for the conversion of the aerospace, defense and space industry. As a non-profit alliance of leading industry prime contractors, tier-one suppliers and key industry suppliers, SEA’s purpose is to accelerate supply chain performance.
SEA Executive Briefings give aerospace, defense and space suppliers an opportunity to learn about SEA and how they can partner in the effort to ensure the global competitiveness of the U.S. supply chain.
According to Barry Neighbors, SEA’s Director of Outreach, “During an Executive Briefing suppliers have the opportunity to evaluate their current performance against emerging customer requirements - and they develop an understanding of the capabilities they’ll need to compete successfully in the new supply chain.”
In addition to regional Executive Briefings hosted by SEA member companies, suppliers throughout the country can log onto National Executive Briefings presented periodically as web casts. The next National Web Cast is set for December 13. For web cast details go to www.seaonline.org and click on the “Briefing” tab.
SEA began its national rollout with supplier firms in California and followed with launches in Connecticut, New York, Texas, and Florida. Now supplier in these states can learn about the SEA Conversion Plan and consider adopting this industry standard business system. The Conversion Plan supports suppliers in improving on-time delivery and quality performance, while reducing costs. Supplier companies already implementing the Conversion Plan are reporting dramatic improvements.
