Well- known “writing help” Webmaster, Shaun Fawcett, has just launched a new Web site that focuses exclusively on the writing of letters of recommendation and letters of reference. He says that the purpose of the site is to demystify and fast-track the writing of these letters by providing a one-stop information source for anyone who has to write any type of recommendation letter or reference letter.

As Fawcett explains, “I have been providing people with online writing help and tools for almost five years now, and have seen that, by far the most problematic types of documents to write are letters of recommendation and/or letters of reference. These letters are usually written for critical situations that affect someone’s life and/or career – yet there is so much misunderstanding out there as to which one is which, and how to write one properly and appropriately.”

According to Fawcett, there is a great deal of confusion surrounding the whole topic of recommendation and reference writing. Apparently, many people (and even businesses and institutions), have no idea of the basic differences and/or similarities among the various types of testimonial letters such as: recommendation letters, letters of recommendation, reference letters, letters of reference, commendation letters, performance evaluation letters, recognition letters, etc.

Fawcett says that a big part of this confusion has been caused by the proliferation of “job/employment resource” Web sites which give the impression that the only types of recommendation and reference letters are employment-related. “That’s simply not true” he says. “There are many other business, community, and personal situations that call for specific types of recommendation and/or reference letters covering such requirements as: college admission, individual commendation, performance evaluation, character assessment, as well as a myriad of general reference letter situations.”

Much of the information at the new Web site, has been consolidated from various articles and Web pages that Fawcett has published over the past few years on his two main writing help Web sites, plus he has included some excerpts from his best-selling book, Instant Recommendation Letter Kit – How To Write Winning Letters of Recommendation.

This new resource site is located at: http://www.Recommendation-Reference-Central.com
