Entering short story competitions offer the writer practice of their craft, and if a win or placement occurs, a touch of prestige can be added to their CV.
The theme for this competition is open with a maximum word length of 2,000 words. First place prize money is $350.00, with second place at $175.00 and third place $100.00. All prize amounts are in Australian dollars and will be issued by Australian cheque. Winning entrants and finalists will receive certificates, with the results being published at www.writingaustralia.com.
