Santa Fe, New Mexico (PRWEB) November 22, 2005 -- Farrell Fischoff Gallery is pleased to host a Holiday Group Show of new artworks by current gallery artists. The exhibition will run from December 9 – December 30, 2005 with an opening reception Friday, 9 December 2005 from 5:00 – 7:30 PM.
The exhibit will feature one or more works by each of the artists currently represented at Farrell Fischoff Gallery, which has grown to include 17 talented New Mexico artists. The artworks include monoprints, collages & drawings in addition to paintings and sculpture.
The most recent additions to the gallery are Arlene Becker, Stacy Brown, Ursula Freer, Bomi Parakh and Izabela Riano.
Becker, Freer and Parakh were first shown in the gallery during the Digital Art 4 invitational in June of this year, and the gallery continues to represent their digital artwork.
The newest artists to join the gallery this autumn are Stacy Brown and Izabela Riano.
Brown is a skilled & talented draftsperson and painter, whose sketches and oils are flawlessly executed with a wry humor and sensibility. Her large oil canvas, Melon/Oma, was widely admired during the September "Les Refusées" show at the gallery, and Farrell Fischoff is very pleased to now have some of her other works available for public viewing.
Riano is a youthful newcomer to Santa Fe who has been teaching printmaking at the College of Santa Fe. Her latest work (some of which was previously featured at a September 2005 Santa Fe Art Institute exhibit) include free-form monotypes on rice paper and paper rock sculptures.
In the Farrell Fischoff style, the contemporary, high-ceiling space will be curated with care and attention, exhibiting the gallery artists' provocative artworks at their most compelling.
