Can a Free Treo 650 Outsell a Free Motorola Razr? YouNeverCall Inc. Releases Recent Cellular Sales Trend Information

YouNeverCall reports that while sales of Treo 650 and Motorola Razr v3 phones continue to be strong, it is seeing a slip in Treo 650 sales as compared to sales of the popular Razr v3 from Motorola.

(PRWEB) November 23, 2005 -- YouNeverCall Inc. reported today a significant change in online cell phone buying trends at its flagship site http://www.younevercall.com.

After more than half a year of record sales of both Treo 650 PDA phones from PalmOne, and Razr V3 phones from Motorola, YouNeverCall has begun to see a growing preference toward Motorola Razr phones. YouNeverCall offers both T-Mobile Razr and Cingular Razr phones, while it offers the Treo 650 for use on T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint's cellular networks. This week YouNeverCall announced a special offer under which Treo 650 for EarthLink Wireless (operated on the Sprint PCS network) will be offered free.

"We may be seeing a saturation in the PDA/Blackberry segment that has not yet occurred in [Razr's corporate cell segment at this point" says Brice Richards, VP of Strategy for YouNeverCall Inc. YouNeverCall believes that while demand for both Treo 650 and Razr V3 phones (and their successors) will continue to be strong, the nature of the PDA market is less prone to fads, while Razr's segment is much more likely to change to match current trends.

Months of nearly equal sales of the Treo 650 and Motorola Razr phones may have blinded YouNeverCall and other cellular dealers to the true nature of demand of various cell phone styles.

For now YouNeverCall has decided to lower its prices on the Treo 650 to a level of $149.99 for both the Cingular and Sprint versions, as well as roll out a Free (after rebate) EarthLink Wireless Treo 650. "It's too early to tell if the EarthLink Treo 650 offer will turn our Treo [650numbers around for the 2005 Holiday Season - We'll wait and see," says Richards.

The Free EarthLink Treo 650 offer can be found at http://wireless.younevercall.com

YouNeverCall also announced today that it is beginning a test of the new Verizon Superpages PayPerCall advertising program. Like the Pay Per Click advertising models offered by Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) Verizon Superpages charges YouNeverCall only for actions taken. With Pay Per Call, YouNeverCall pays for calls completed to its Toll Free Number, 866-774-9415, while the PPC (Pay per Click) model charges advertisers for actual clicks.

YouNeverCall expects to finish it's record-setting year with a total of over 30,000 online cellular phone orders placed. Orders for Treo 650 and Motorola Razr V3 combined are expected to account for over 18,000 of those cell phone orders.
