The Margaret Sellers Award of Excellence

Named after San Diego’s first female Postmaster, the Margaret Sellers Award recognizes San Diego marketing professionals who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in direct marketing, as well as outstanding service to the San Diego direct marketing community. Sellers forged a strong relationship between San Diego mailers and the United States Postal Service, and established a benchmark for outstanding service to the San Diego mailing industry. In 1991, the SDDMA renamed its annual “Direct Marketer of the Year” award in her honor and chose her as its first recipient.
