Argentine-born expressionist artist Nadine Baurin featured at the SDVAG Fine Art Gallery

Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) November 23, 2005 -- Nadine Baurin has been selected as Featured Artist for the SDVAG First Friday Opening Reception, happening on December 2, 2005 from 6-8 PM. A performance by the Small Opera of San Diego will follow the reception.

SDVAG Fine Art Gallery will be featuring the expressionistic works of San Diego-based artist Nadine Baurin. Sponsored by the Museum Artists Foundation, in partnership with SanDiegoArtist.com; San Diego’s newest art gallery --The SDVAG Fine Art Gallery-- recognizes the talent of local San Diego artists. The Gallery is located in the heart of San Diego at 1098 Ninth Avenue; corner of Ninth and C.
   
Through her artwork, Baurin presents familiar images in an unfamiliar context. “Most of my paintings contain objects that you, the viewer, might not immediately recognize,” says nadine. “My hope is to allow you to take a closer look; to connect yourself with my artwork and to come up with your own interpretation of what each piece suggests to you.”

“Nadine’s expressionistic painting style is a perfect balance to our December event, and we’re excited to showcase her talent as the show’s feature artist,” said Dennis Paul Batt, founder of The SDVAG Fine Art Gallery and Executive Director of the Museum Artists Foundation.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, San Diego-based artist Baurin is greatly influenced by her journeys throughout the U.S., Latin America and Europe where she’s had periods of independent study to further her art training. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Illinois’ Principia College and has studied painting with various nationally and internationally recognized artists including David Coughtry, Glenn Felch, France-Marie Haeger, and with fellow Argentine artist Eduardo Cervera.
