Million Dollar Hole-In-One® 2005 Las Vegas Golf Tournament

Stuart, FL (PRWEB) November 28, 2005 -- The weather was perfect for the 12th Annual Million Dollar Hole-In-One® Las Vegas Golf Tournament held on November 7, 2005. The contest included hole-in-one prizes at each of Revere at Anthem’s Concord Course’s par three holes.

The peak of the excitement centered on the 5th hole. There qualifiers shot for the $1 million, 20-year annuity. This was also the hole where the closest to the pin contest was held. The winning shot for closest to the pin was only 24 inches from the hole. So close to winning the grand prize.

The travel trips for two to the Masters, British Open, or Super Bowl at the other par 3s will still be around for next year as will the $5,000 purse for the winner of the putting contest. The enthusiasm at that contest was never higher in the history of our Tournament.

Everyone had a great time, beginning with the opening cocktail Party the night before. The fun and excitement continued through the Tournament and the Awards Dinner. Participants included golfers from as far away as Canada and England. In addition to our 2005 qualifiers, returning hole-in-one qualifiers from prior years and our franchisees were in force as well. All enjoy Las Vegas. It offers world-class casinos, entertainment, restaurants, music, shopping, theater, golfing and much more.

Our Awards Dinner was held at our Tournament’s host hotel, MGM’s Treasure Island. Co-Founder, Gene Rebhan, served as the evening’s MC. Steve Hammond, COO, handed out the awards to the three lowest scoring foursomes, and for the closest to the pin contest. This year there was both a men’s and women’s section. Steve “thanked Wilson Sporting Goods and Professional Golf Events for providing merchandise prizes to the winners and to Frederick’s of Hollywood and the Treasure Island Hotel for helping in Million Dollar Hole-In-One®’s support of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation”. He added “since our founding we’ve raised in excess of $475,000 for the DRI”.
