ApplianceWare, Inc., a leading developer of easy-to-use, affordable, cross platform, network attached storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networking (SAN) software solutions announced today that it has entered into a technology partnership with ENARGiS, Ltd., an innovative developer and provider of storage over IP (iSCSI) networking solutions.

ApplianceWare, Inc., a leading developer of easy-to-use, affordable, cross platform, network attached storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networking (SAN) software solutions announced today that it has entered into a technology partnership with ENARGiS, Ltd., an innovative developer and provider of storage over IP networking solutions. ApplianceWare develops Common Information Model (CIM) and Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S) compliant software storage management solutions and network storage optimized operating system (OS) technologies. ENARGiS develops iSCSI software building blocks for creating high performance iSCSI block level storage servers. ApplianceWare and ENARGiS will work together to integrate their technologies to enable market leading iSCSI SAN solutions targeting the rapidly growing Small to Medium Business and Small to Medium Size Enterprise (SMB/SME) markets.

ApplianceWare believes that the market has not yet provided affordable storage products that adequately address the key storage networking and storage management issues facing the SMB/SME markets and is targeting its solutions to fulfill these requirements.

“Smaller organizations have essentially the same requirements as their larger counterparts but are usually much more cost sensitive and often do not have dedicated staff for deploying and maintaining these storage devices” said Stacy Kenworthy, President & CEO of ApplianceWare. “By integrating our network storage OS and storage management technologies with the ENARGiS iSCSI offering, ApplianceWare will enable storage OEMs and hardware manufacturers to offer complete, cost effective, cross platform, iSCSI products that provide enterprise class SAN capabilities but that are available at more affordable prices and that are simple enough for smaller companies to deploy and maintain with limited resources.”

“The partnership with ApplianceWare is an excellent opportunity for ENARGiS to further expand the market penetration of its iSCSI solution.” said Danny Shavit, Founder and CTO of ENARGiS. “The partnership with ApplianceWare will present substantial benefits to customers who need complete, yet affordable iSCSI SAN solutions. “
