Celebrity Designers Showcase Collections At “The Official Holiday Party and Glamour Fashion Show”

Fashion designer extraordinaire Duvall, and Jean Sweet, director of American + International Designers (A+ID) announce their presentation of The Official Holiday Party and Glamour Fashion Show, to be held at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, 720 S. Michigan Avenue on December 3, 2005.

CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 26, 2005 -- Fashion designer extraordinaire Duvall, and Jean Sweet, director of American + International Designers (A+ID) announce their presentation of The Official Holiday Party and Glamour Fashion Show, to be held at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, 720 S. Michigan Avenue on December 3, 2005. Tickets are $50 which includes a reception at 7:00pm., fashion runway show 8:30pm, and from 9:30pm, a light buffet and dancing. Renowned internationally for his lavish After-Five Couture and show-stopping fashion party presentations, Duval collaborates with Jean Sweet, of A+ID to produce this event. “The event will launch the hottest look for this year’s holiday parties” commented Duvall, “I wanted to give the best party of the season and inspire the dreams of Chicagoans to update their own holiday look when they attend other parties!” Duvall continued.

Chicago’s top models will be draped in collections from international and US designers who have clothed celebrities around the world. Headlining the feature fashion segment will be Eavis & Brown [London] with their evening wear collection; regulars at A+ID shows, their clients include: Barbra Streisand, Beyonce Knowles, Halle Berry and Shania Twain. Zandra Rhodes [London], one of the most eccentric fashion designers since the ‘60s, will show her bold, yet timeless pieces; Rhodes’ whose list of admirers seems endless, once designed for the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Paul Carroll [New York], a designer to soap opera queens, his clothing is seen regularly on “All My Children”, “Another World”, and “Guiding Light”. Chicago’s own ingénue, Sujata Gazder, who made a smash debut at the New York Fashion Market showing at A+ID this past September, will present her young charming cocktail and evening separates.

Also featured on runway will be Russell Simmons’ Phat Farm, and an eye-catching collection by Kimora Lee Simmons Baby Phat, worn by the likes of Paula Abdul, Britney Spears, Lil’ Kim and Alicia Keys. Chicago’s queen of fashion, Barbara Bates, will showcase her savvy textural fashion creations; a successful fashion designer for many years, Bates has dressed Whitney Houston, Steve Harvey, Michael Jordan and Oprah Winfrey. Duvall Pettway [Chicago/South Africa], whose fine linen suits and men’s custom night wear are worn by world leaders, royalty and entertainers including: Nelson Mandela and family, H.R.H. King Mswati III of Swaziland, Patti LaBelle and the late Luther Vandross.

A team of hair stylists from both Genacelli Salon & Esthetique and Kuttin Ege Salon will provide styling with high-glam, sexy hair as Joseph Cartagena and Cynthia Porcelli, owners of the hip salon, Genacelli, and Paul Chambers, owner of Kuttin Ege’ Salon, unite to head the hair design team to create soft provocative looks with a strong stylized edge to compliment the celebrity collections. Holiday hair trends will also be featured - with the flavor of modern designs that play on classic style from past eras and a touch of bejeweled headbands and hair clips.
