“Remember the Titans” Team Celebrates 35 Years and Attends the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game in San Antonio
The coaches and players from team portrayed in the Disney movie "Remember the Titans” will be honored at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game in San Antonio, Texas, on January 7, 2006.
(PRWEB) November 27, 2005 -- The 1971 T.C. Williams Titans High School football team featured in the Disney movie “Remember the Titans” celebrates the 35th anniversary of their winning championship. The coaches and players from the famous “Titans” team will be honored at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game. The East vs. West match-up brings together the top high school football players in the nation. The game will be at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, and broadcast live on NBC on Saturday, January 7, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. EST.
The winning team of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl will receive the Herman Boone Trophy named after the legendary Alexandria, Virginia high school football coach, immortalized in “Titans.” Bill Yoast and Paul “Doc” Hines, assistant coaches featured in the movie, will be on hand during the presentation.
The week prior to the game, the “Titans” will be busy in the San Antonio area sharing their inspirational story as they visit local schools and community centers.
