Third Annual "Festivals of Speed" Roars into Town with 300+ Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce and Other Exotics on Display; American Le Mans Race Cars to Attend

(PRWEB) November 29, 2005 -- The Third annual St. Petersburg "FESTIVALS OF SPEED" will take place in St. Petersburg, Florida in Vinoy Park on Sunday February 26, 2006.
Festivities begin on Friday, February 24th with a "Jet Hop". Participants, sponsors and VIP guests will gather in an actual aircraft hanger for a festive evening as they indulge in cocktails from a premium brands open bar, enjoy Martini's from a sculptured ice bar and sip Champagne served from our "Champagne Ambassadors". As for culinary options, guests will delight their palette with sumptuous hors d' oeuvres and sinfully sweet confections. On display will be a fabulous display of exotic cars, luxurious aircraft, custom motorcycles and high speed boats.
On Saturday the 25th a "Yacht Hop" will take place 12pm-3pm. As guests arrive, valets will escort attendees to a fabulous display of yachts. Ferretti, Riva, Pershing, Hatteras will all be on display among others. Once on board, guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d' oeuvres while having the opportunity to fully experience the grandeur of these magnificent vessels.
Saturday evening will see a reception at the prestigious Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club. Guests will gather for a very special evening as they enjoy cocktails from a premium brands open bar and indulge in a wide array of culinary delights. A special display of exotic automobiles will be on display inside the ballroom. Live music, silent auctions benefiting charitable organizations and festive Martini bars will add to the excitement. Later that evening sponsors will be acknowledged with a handsome plaque at the podium as the media and official staff photographers capture all the action. Tickets to the reception are available, but are limited.

For enthusiasts of speed, the Sunday display will offer over 350+ exotic cars, boats and motorcycles. The display will be located in Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg. When asked why Vinoy Park was chosen for the location, both event organizers, Joe Sabatini/David Berndt had this to say, "With it's beautifully manicured lawns, full service marina and stunning views of the bay, we felt Vinoy Park reflected perfectly the elegance of these exotic machines." Located just steps away from the display in Vinoy Park, is the host hotel, the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club. Considered to be the showplace of St. Petersburg's waterfront, the Vinoy overlooks Tampa Bay, is surrounded by lush grounds and offers a private marina, golf course, tennis complex, day spa and salon. Mr. Berndt has just recently became a business partner in the Festival of Speed and will be instrumental as a part of the company growth plan for 2006.
Featured for display will be an impressive selection of automotive marques including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Porsche, Bimota, Ducati, Donzi, Ferretti, Pershing, Sonic and many others. PORSCHE will be the honor marque for 2006 New for 2006 will be the introduction of formal judging. Vehicle owners now have the option of having a vehicle formally judged or placed for display only. Also on display will be race cars and team members from the American Le Mans Race Series. An automotive and motorcycle themed display of art and photography will also be onsite with works from artists across the country. As for entertainment, attendees can expect to stroll through the Park while enjoying smooth Jazz, onsite cafés serving food, beer and wine, free drawings to win high end watches and tickets to the MOBIL 1 TWELVE HOURS OF SEBRING race and much, much more.
