Quimble Now Makes Group Opinions and Decisions Easy

The new web service, Quimble, is polls done right. Users create a poll, enter their friend's email addresses and boom, they have an instant spot to discuss and vote their issue out. Quimble makes putting polls on blogs or websites incredibly simple.

The idea for Quimble grew out of large group meeting. Twenty friends of Topper Bowers (the site's founder) needed to decide on a restaurant to use for a reunion. Group email was not working as no consensus was being reached. The initial version of Quimble was born. The votes were quickly counted and comments and discussions were all held in a central place rather then scattered through inboxes.

Since that initial version, Quimble now makes it easier than ever to add a poll to a blog or website (copy and paste one line of code). Quimble has boomed with Spanish speakers which is a testament to the ease of the English-only interface.

Quimble was created by Topper Bowers from Brooklyn, NY. Topper is a 25 year old graphic designer who taught himself how to program on the web. Quimble uses many of the latest technologies including Ruby on Rails and light AJAX interface features. Every user on Quimble has a personal RSS feed of their latest polls. Many users are now subscribing to their friend's Quimble feeds in order to get the latest polls, bypassing email all together. Topper publishes a blog (http://blog.quimble.com) chronicling his work on the site.
