2005 Great Holiday Food Drive December 12th - 22nd, 2005

Get ready to celebrate our 5th Annual Great Holiday Food Drive benefiting the Oregon Food Bank with live music and food and featuring blues musician Lloyd Jones.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) November 30, 2005 -- Over the past four years the Great Holiday Food Drive has raised over 32,000 pounds of food for the Oregon Food Bank. This year, to celebrate our 5th year, the goal is to raise over 50,000 pounds.

Help celebrate in a collaboration to raise food and awareness for the hungry here in the Portland Metropolitan Area. Donate canned foods December 12th through the 22nd, 2005 at any Donation Drop Site Location around the Portland Metro Area (see http://food-drive.com for a list of locations). People donating will get to enter a raffle to win one of several great prizes; including a weekend stay in Cannon Beach.

Then to the wrap up the 5th Annual Great Holiday Food Drive,on the last day Thursday, December 22nd, there will be food and live music featuring renowned blues musician, Lloyd Jones, E.Z. Eddy Campy & The Jumpers, and Bolt Upright. The Celebration with Live Music and Food will be held at the historic, Hi Hat Restaurant off Hwy 99 & I-5.
