Funny Debutante scouts out the must-have and must-do of Orange County for stylish women.

Forty fabulous Orange County fashionistas gathered to fete the launch of Funny Debutante, a weekly style and trends online newsletter and website. The well-dressed crowd sipped Debutantinis and nibbled on gourmet bites amidst the French Bohemian flair of the Left Bank, a private sanctuary at the swank new French 75 in Irvine. Surprise drawings took place throughout the evening with a few lucky ladies taking home such wonderful prizes as a Haleluya Handbag, a manicure from The Nail Lounge, a Bella-Blooms bouquet and a DVD of Laguna Beach-The Real OC. No guest left the chic celebration without a Funny Debutante gift bag loaded with goodies from Pulp Factory, Mor Cosmetics, Carpe Diem,, Knock-Knock and much more. The lovely guests included jewelry designer Lauren Fish, the ShopGirls Lisa and Helen and Orange Coast editor Tina Borgatta.

About Funny Debutante is the creation of Newport Beach resident Natalie Bow, who recognized that Orange County was often overlooked and overshadowed by its neighbor to the North, created a weekly email that highlights the must-have and must-do of Orange County. 'Despite the high number of stylish affluent women and the infinite number of charming boutiques and unique services here in the OC, websites celebrating the stylish side of the County simply did not exist,' remarks Bow. 'There are sites like DailyCandy and Splendora that do a wonderful job of showcasing new things, but they only focus on LA and ignore Orange County.'

Once a week, she regales her subscribers with snarky snippets about offerings ranging from sushi-making parties to vintage aprons. “Funny Debutante was instrumental in the success of our launch,” says Cassie Piasecki, owner of the Nail Lounge in Costa Mesa after an invitation introducing the unique salon was sent to all Funny Debutante subscribers.

The website includes a weekly feature plus an archive of previous write-ups. Future updates will include a restaurant review section (called Dish), a book review section and a list of the 50 Most Fabulous Finds in Orange County.
