IBM hosted a special 31 - minute e-seminar last Tuesday, October 18th that demonstrated DataPortal to a select group of industry professionals in financial, industrial and government areas. Many of the questions that followed the event prompted Connection Concepts to make the webinar available to those that are unfamiliar with this new and dynamic solution, starting with their strong business alliances within the IBM organization. During the webinar, Whitten demonstrated the various ways DataPortal provides an instant exchange of data, moving business information as simply as sending an Instant Message. He gave a case study regarding Connection Concepts client Sikosky Aircraft, demonstrating how the product was customized and developed for Sikorsky. “Sikorsky fared very well with DataPortal. They were able to maintain their influx of manufacturing data effortlessly on a daily and hourly basis by using the product.” Whitten also says, “Having worked with Sikorsky was where DataPortal became a vital tool to drive business data without the need for the traditional database.”
