Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 1, 2005 -- The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Richard Boyatzis, professor, international consultant, and renowned expert in leadership development and emotional intelligence (EI), will host HCI's Webcast "Resonant Leadership: Renewing Yourself and Connecting with Others Through Mindfulness, Hope and Compassion," to be held December 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET.

Sponsored by Taleo Corporation, this free session, which is part of HCI's ongoing Webcast series, will focus on the role emotional intelligence plays in leadership.

Resonant Leadership: Renewing Yourself and Connecting with Others Through Mindfulness, Hope and Compassion
"The ability to establish a deep, emotional connection is a trait all truly great leaders possess," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's Executive Director. "Richard Boyatzis, who has spent decades researching EI, will provide insight into this fascinating and often neglected area of leadership development."

Boyatzis leads a course at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and is a visiting professor at ESADE in Barcelona, a top business school. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at management schools throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Together with Daniel Goleman and Annie McKee, Boyatzis is author of "Primal Leadership: Learning to Lead with Emotional Intelligence," a Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and New York Times business bestseller that has been translated into 26 languages.

Boyatzis' latest book, written with Annie McKee, bears the same title as this Webcast. As in the book, at this session, Boyatzis will draw on EI research and real-life examples to provide a framework for developing resonant leadership.
