Anne Deon, a Los Angeles artist, who has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success with her original oil paintings has decided to put her new, gorgeous and fun designs, called The Dancing Beauty series, onto T-shirts, tote bags, hats and children's garments. This series consists of a group of animated characters that frolic, dance and sing. They were inspired by Ms. Deon's past involvement in pop music.
During the 1980's Anne Deon was a renowned underground musician playing alto saxophone and synthesizers, in New York City. She became signed to Elektra Records with the Alan Vega band, and toured Europe several times promoting the LP. The artist likes to think of this era as the days of her "Flaming Youth", and what a time it was. The Dancing Beauty series is a direct, if extremely playful link to those days.
Now she is making these designs available on apparel at the following website
This availability creates an opportunity for everyone to own a Deon design, and a design linked to her most wild, most fun, creative past. These designs on casual apparel make wonderful gifts for young girls and teens as well as for the young at heart and at affordable prices.
With her latest venture - Music & Dance Shop on Cafe Press, she is making available these T- Shirts and other apparel at affordable prices and they are guaranteed to make wonderful holiday gifts. Of course the added bonus with any gift of Dancing Beauty clothing is the ownership of the work of an extremely creative talent whose work is consistently moving more and more into the mainstream.
Anne Deon is currently in negotiations with Goossen-Tutor management to launch her boxing paintings which have been very favorably compared to the work of the great artist, Leroy Neiman. We urge you to see her Muhammad Ali paintings just go to:
Some of which are done in both day glow paint as well as oil paint, thus creating a very cool image. Of special note is the paintings depicting the Muhammad Ali v Sonny Liston fight, playfully entitled: Woooops!
Ms. Deon has also had a great deal of success with her Ancestor and Ghost series of oil paintings on canvas which can be seen at:
In the past we have seen Anne Deon abstract oil paintings on furniture designer websites. Her more exclusive high end work can be seen on the websites:
