However, not every phone is right for every individual. From business, fashion and music to camera phone capabilities, our holiday hits list features our favorites in categories for every user.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 1, 2005
Mobiledia, the Web's leading mobile technology resource, today announced their Top 10 Cell Phones to look out for in the 2005 holiday season. Identifying the latest phones for every shopping list, the best devices were carefully chosen from a wide range of categories and price ranges, from high-tech to sleek, for everyone from music lovers to game players.
Adding the hottest phones and electronic gadgets to holiday wish lists is no new trend; however, if current sales and spending trends in the mobile industry continue, this year's holiday shopping season may be the busiest and most successful yet.
Recent data from The NPD Group, the market information leader for the wireless industry, indicates consumer cell phone sales reached 31.6 million units in the third quarter of 2005. Representing a seven percent growth over second quarter sales volume of 29.6 million units, this number increased more than 30 percent compared to the same period in 2004. NPD estimates total third quarter 2005 consumer sales will be slightly more than $2 billion.
"With the rise of music and video phones, and the continuing popularity of camera phones, multimedia capabilities are taking a leading role in cell phone selection," said Allen Tsai, founder of Mobiledia.com. "However, not every phone is right for every individual. From business, fashion and music to camera phone capabilities, our holiday hits list features our favorites in categories for every user."
