Leapstone Names Communications Industry Executive Jennifer Smith Byers To Lead Its Sales & Marketing Effort
SOMERSET, NJ (PRWEB) December 5, 2005 -- Leapstone Systems, a leading supplier of IMS-compliant service delivery and content management solutions for service providers, today announced that communications industry veteran Jennifer Smith Byers has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Leapstone. She will report to Rick Orriss, President and CEO, Leapstone.
Smith Byers brings extensive communications industry, software and applications experience to Leapstone from over 20 years at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, where she most recently served as Vice President of Global Sales for Lucent’s Network Operations Software division. In this role, Smith Byers was responsible for the worldwide sales of network operations software and related services to service providers and enterprises.
In other leadership positions at Lucent and AT&T, Smith Byers managed a variety of executive-level responsibilities, including sales/sales operations, marketing, product management, and applications and systems development activities. These roles included director of product management and business strategy for Lucent’s Intelligent Network unit, where she managed the development and marketing of an entire portfolio of applications and services designed for wireless and wireline service providers.
Smith Byers holds a MBA from the University of Dayton and Master’s degree in computer science from Kansas State University. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Denison University.
