In addition to his writing career, author Terry Mirll is employed full-time with the Department of Defense. Before attaining his current position, Mirll—a Fulbright recipient who holds multiple degrees in Literature and German—worked as a high school English teacher, a college professor of German, and as an instructor for the Texas prison system. Wonderboy and the Black Hole of Nixvy Veck, his second novel, was inspired by his time spent working in his father’s oil change shop.
