VH1 Selects Sugarluxe: America’s Sweet Art Makes it “Big in ‘05”
Fashion illustrator and designer, Chandra Michaels, makes a big impact on the celebrity fashion scene.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 3, 2005 -- Chandra Michaels, creator of the coveted Sugarluxe line of fashion accessories, has designed a custom collection of belt buckles for the VH1 Big in ’05 Awards Show. Her designs were inspired by the stars that made headlines in 2005. Michaels is slated to attend the show in Hollywood at the Sony Studios this weekend.
“It is only appropriate that the hottest celebrities of the year receive the hottest new accessory of the year”, says Jerri Turner of Tacoma’s upscale boutique, Sweets, Treats & Designs, who was the first store to carry the line and can’t keep Sugarluxe items on the shelf.
Belt buckles are undoubtedly big and a Sugarluxe design will stand up to the toughest red carpet critique. Each piece is as unique as the person who wears it and all are individually created by Michaels herself. Her original designs are captured beneath a proprietary glass composite blend which displays the bold colors and collectible illustrations.
Like all fine works of art, the finished piece is then showcased by the perfect frame. SWAROVSKI® Crystals surround each custom buckle, making them as star-studded as the event itself promises to be.
When asked how she selected this awards show when many invitations were extended to Sugarluxe during the busy award season, Michaels declares that the decision was easy, “We opened our designs to the public on Valentine’s Day 2005, so this has been a very exciting year for Sugarluxe. This show recognizes people and things that stood out in 2005, so it seemed a perfect fit. We were thrilled to receive the invitation to participate.” Prior to February 14th, 2005, the artist’s original illustrations were only available by commission.
While it’s still undetermined if Chandra Michaels will release these newly featured buckles to anyone other than the stars for whom they were designed, other Sugarluxe collections are available online and at select boutiques nationwide.
The VH1 Big in ’05 Awards show will be streamed live on VH1.com, December 3rd and will air on VH1, December 4th at 8/7pm central.
