David Graves, President and CEO of IMRIS Inc., is pleased to receive the 2005 Minnie for Best New Radiology vendor. The Minnie awards, given out by AuntMinnie.com upon the voting of their readers, reflect the international radiological community and indicates the importance that the IMRIS intra-operative MRI system is receiving. The awards were presented at RSNA 2005 this week.

“We are grateful at having been chosen by the Aunt Minnie readers, and we congratulate all of the other winners, runners-up, and nominees”, said Mr. Graves.

IMRIS Inc. designs and manufactures surgical imaging systems for use in Neurological, Spinal and Soft Tissue procedures. IMRIS’ current product, called the iMotion MR15, is unique as a diagnostic, interventional and intra-operative platform, in that is suspends a 1.5 Tesla Siemens Espree system from ceiling rails. The iMotion MR15 system can be installed in single room or two room configurations. The two room installation allows a hospital to schedule a single MRI for use both as a diagnostic MRI in one room and a intra-operative surgical MRI in another room, with the MRI moving between the rooms as required.

IMRIS currently has installations in Foothills Hospital, Calgary and Children’s Hospital Boston, and installations in progress in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Scottish Rites Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
