Children’s Apparel Trade Magazine Earnshaw’s Launches New, Interactive Web Site

Earnshaws.com is a new dynamic resource for the children's wear industry.

New York (PRWEB) December 4, 2005 -- Earnshaw’s, the leading children’s wear trade magazine, launched its new Web site at www.earnshaws.com on December 1st. It is designed to capture the dynamic nature of the industry, and the history and expertise of our 90-year-old publication.

“The Web site is our opportunity to extend our coverage beyond the pages of the magazine. It is also a vehicle for delivering news on a more frequent basis than we are able to in our monthly publication,” said Publisher Ross Garnick. “The site will continue to change and grow according to the needs of the industry.”

The site is intended as a resource and meeting place for industry insiders with features that include: Web-exclusive stories, event coverage and photos, a blog and an open forum. The blog, dubbed “Life With Earnie,” is a lighthearted look at the industry through the eyes of Earnie, a new persona created especially for the blog. In the forum, visitors are invited to register and participate in discussions on topics ranging from buying and marketing to trade shows and advertising. Additionally, visitors are able to view the editorial calendar, advertising specs and subscription information.

“We’re excited to augment our print publication with this new online tool, which offers expanded news coverage, a look inside industry events and resources for communicating with one another,” said Caletha Crawford, Earnshaw’s editor in chief. “We encourage readers to bookmark the site and refer to it throughout the month.”

For 90 years, Earnshaw’s has been the leading trade publication in the children’s wear market. Earnshaw’s provides retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and industry insiders with the vital information they need to stay current on fashion trends and business practices. The magazine was recently purchased by Symphony Publishing, a multimedia company that publishes B2B magazines, Web sites and directories that span the music and fashion industries.
