“As the series reaches its finale, I want the reader to understand the motives behind the characters,” Blalock said. “This book is a window into many of those issues.”
Blalock, a writer of science-fiction, fantasy, and horror for more than 30 years, has been published in print magazines, webzines, and anthologies, so he is no stranger to criticism and the needs of the reader.
“My readers are intelligent enough to be able to deduce a lot of what is going on in the periphery of the story, but I want to give them confirmation or explanation in this and the last of the series.”
The series will culminate with the March 2006 release of “Ultima Thran”. Cover artist for “The Kel Saka”, Mitch Foust, will do the art for the last cover as well.
