ACOM EMR is the premier affordable clinical notes and documentation solution for chiropractors. Back Talk Systems, Inc. is a worldwide distributor of training and educational materials to the chiropractic community. In the new partnership, BTS will also offer RAPID EMR to its 40,000-member customer base.

BACK Talk Systems, Inc, a Golden-based educational and professional materials and services organization that serves the worldwide chiropractic community, has signed a partnership agreement with ACOM EMR the health care division of ACOM Solutions, Inc., to market the practice-enhancing RAPID EMR clinical documentation and reporting solution to its 40,000-doctor customer base, it was announced today by ACOM Vice President Gregory T. Church and BACK Talk Systems President Dr. Rob Jackson, D.C.

According to Dr. Jackson, who also owns a Denver multi-doctor practice where RAPID EMR has been implemented, BACK Talk Systems will promote RAPID EMR in its quarterly catalog and other mailings, through promotional materials accompanying product fulfillments and at independent and joint presentations and professional events. The two companies are also exploring other ways in which they can collaborate to advance the state of chiropractic office technology.

“Chiropractors must leverage technology in their practices because costs are on the rise, regulators and third party payers are becoming more demanding in their reporting requirements, and chiropractic professionalism continues to be under attack,” Dr. Jackson said. “Our doctors had been seeking a way to move our practice from the traditional paper processes to electronic, paper-free documentation and reporting when we encountered the RAPID EMR solution at the recent Masters Circle event. We were impressed with RAPID’s ability to automate diagnostics, SOAP notes and reports and not only to complete these tasks more quickly, more precisely and with dramatically less effort, but also to allow chiropractors the flexibility to make every RAPID document their own.”

According to ACOM’s Gregg Church, RAPID EMR was designed in consultation with experienced chiropractors who, like Dr. Jackson, had recognized that conventional office practices were obsolete and that it had become critical that doctors adopt electronic processes if they were to thrive. RAPID EMR resides on a tablet computer, which doctors carry in the patient visit to perform diagnoses and record SOAP notes automatically through the use of intelligent graphics, checklists, and handwritten on-screen input. This data builds the patient field in an organized manner, visit by visit, and it automates the production of reports at any point of the treatment cycle or on completion.

The RAPID EMR Total Solution includes the wireless-ready tablet computer, the RAPID EMR software suite, and a wireless interface card. It also features a Patient Self-Check-in module that eliminates pre-visit file preparation and update, and it provides an array of outcomes assessment reports that enable the doctor and patient to gauge progress over time. The software can also be installed on desktop and laptop machines.

“We are delighted to partner with BACK Talk Systems and Dr. Jackson,” Church said. “He continues to perform great service to his profession through his educational efforts, consulting and public appearances and we believe that his vision represents the way the profession must move in order to maintain its relevance and its prosperity.”
