Male Infertility Coaching, Education, and Support: Personal Advancement in Family Building

"Infertility affects 6.1 million people in the United States." It's often believed to be a woman's problem, however, studies indicate that 40 per cent of infertility is due to male factors i.e. morphology (sperm structure), motility (movement issues), congenital (from birth), viscosity (thickness), and number (amount of sperm per ejaculate). Infertility coaching is an avenue for men to help themselves move forward.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) December 9, 2005 -- "More than 1 million people seek medical treatment for infertility every year." "Infertility knows no boundaries: Couples and individuals of every race, religious background, and financial stratum face the dilemma you may be confronting now."

Infertility is often believed to be a woman's problem. However, studies indicate that 40% of infertility is related to male factor problems such as structural abnormalities, sperm production disorders, ejaculatory disturbances, and immunologic disorders."

It's absolutely shocking for anyone, especially a man who finds out after trying to conceive for 6-12 months the semen analysis comes back with low or no sperm count. Infertility is overwhelming and is a life crisis that affects every aspect of an individual's and couple's life. Male factor problems presents as morphology (shape abnormalities), motility (movement issues), congenital (stemming from birth), or viscosity (thickness or support for the sperm).

Now you're stuck; blank; removed; empty; and yes depressed. Coping and moving forward can pose many problems, communication between you and your partner being the most obvious.

"The impact of an infertility diagnosis on men may be enormous, especially if they have held ideas about becoming a parent." Also men are less likely to discuss their emotions with their friends and co-workers; these tend to provide supportive outlets for frustrations.

Infertility coaching is designed as a collaborative process where the focus for change and progress is derived solely from the client. The client initiates all goal setting and plans to move forward. The coaching process involves journaling, smart goals, decision trees, education, support, and progress mapping. There are reasons for blaming yourself but you can effectively move forward through education, support, and coaching. Mr. Canada, who was himself diagnosed with male factor infertility, designed coaching for men based on his own experiences with this painful issue. He knows first-hand what emotions men and couples go through once they find out about their infertility. Move forward; Get educated; Get the support - Infertility coaching for you and your partner!

Mr. Canada has a Masters in Social Work from The University of Iowa and Masters in Teaching from The American University. He also received professional training from the Institute for Life Coach Training and has a Life Coaching practice in Washington DC. He's a member of the International Coaches Federation and the Christian Coaches Network. He can be reached at 202-320-8031 or at www.findingyourzenith.com
