Derico Dabney Goes On a Poetic Voyage Deep Within the Recesses of His Psyche, And Shares in His Various Life Journeys
Derico Dabney’s second independent book release, The Red Pill: 500 mg of Poetry, in conjunction with lulu.com, has just taken poetic verse up another notch. This book goes far beyond Derico’s first independent release, Shades of Grey.
(PRWEB) December 10, 2005 -- The Red Pill, explores life from various angles, and reveals the harsh bitter truth about life, as well as the abundant joys life has to offer. The Red Pill is a brief collection of contemporary prose from this budding spoken word artist. The passion and energy that Derico exhibits during his onstage performances can be felt in every verse of this book.
Derico uses the title The Red Pill, which was taken from popular science fiction movie “The Matrix”. In the movie the character Morpheus offers the red pill, which is supposed to awaken people from the disillusioned world they have been living in, and provides them with the truth. Derico’s sophomore book release attempts to provide its readers with what he calls the truth.
Mr. Dabney’s attempt is not to persuade people of any particular truths in life, but merely utilizing his creative talents in sharing the truth about his life. This is done with the understanding that regardless to how different we are, we all share similar experiences in life, and we all chance to benefit is some form from the sharing of those experiences.
