Gitzo Launches “Local Heroes” Photography Program
Gitzo launches program to support and showcase international photographers who make a difference.
Nogent La Phaye, France (PRWEB) December 10, 2005 -- Gitzo, revered throughout the world for its precision, quality and innovation in bringing new products to market for both the professional photo and video markets, is proud to announce the launch of the “Local Heroes” project, designed to acknowledge photographers who bring a different perspective to the world of photography.
Gitzo has chosen a select group of photographers that give back to the art community through membership in groups and associations or share their knowledge via teaching in schools or writing for publications. “Local Heroes” are not necessarily “famous” photographers.
“Local Heroes” utilize Gitzo equipment – presented to them as part of their selection into the program - for their work and are given the opportunity to share their images with the world via a dedicated website, accessible through www.gitzo.com. Their work is showcased on the site, with each photographer’s individual web page containing a biography, commentary and a photo gallery.
“Local Heroes” from around the world will help spread photo culture and act as “teachers” for the younger generation of photographers.
