How about a chance to win a one million dollar Oak Park home or $1 million in cash? The Conejo Jewish Day School is raffling the home/cash prize with the proceeds going to help the school build a permanent facility.

Tickets for the raffle are $150 a piece. A maximum of 18,000 tickets will be sold. "A one in 18,000 chance to win are much better odds than winning the lottery," says Leora Langberg, the school's board president. "When you factor in the other cash prizes, ticket holders have a 1 in 100 chance of at least doubling their money." Other cash prizes include $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000, seven cash prizes of $1,000, 10 cash prizes of $500 and 160 cash prizes of $300.

The non-profit Conejo Jewish Day School in Agoura Hills currently offers a kindergarten through sixth grade curriculum. The school is operating in leased facilities. It hopes to use funds from the raffle to acquire a permanent site to build its own school and expand the curriculum to accommodate kindergarteners through 12th graders.

The deadline to purchase tickets is January 31. The raffle drawing will held on February 14 (Valentine's Day) at the Canyon Club (28912 Roadside Dr., Agoura Hills). The winner need not be present.

The grand prize winner will receive a 2,500 square foot two story Oak Park home with five bedrooms and three baths or $1 million in cash. The home includes a new kitchen with granite counter tops, state-of-the-art appliances, a custom walk-in pantry; new custom ceramic tile, designer quality carpet throughout the house, all new double-glazed windows and an over-sized walk-in closet and whirlpool tub in the master suite. The outside features a professionally landscaped yard and an entertainer's backyard with pool.
