Vignoble Carone's Novello Wine - First of its Kind in Québec

Vignoble Carone, a premium estate winery located in the heart of the Lanaudière valley, today announced the release of its Novello wine, a first of its kind to be made entirely from Quebec grown grapes.

(PRWEB) December 11, 2005 -- Vignoble Carone, a premium estate winery located in the heart of the Lanaudière valley, today announced the release of its Novello wine, a first of its kind to be made entirely from Quebec grown grapes.

Novello, like a Beaujolais Nouveau, is made through the carbonic maceration technique.
As soon as the grapes are harvested, they are put whole (neither crushed nor de-stemmed) in stainless steel tanks, sealed and allowed to ferment. The resulting wine is fruity, very low in tannin, and ready to drink quickly. Vignoble Carone’s Novello, unlike its French cousin, which is typically flat, retains some of the crisp carbonation making it fresh and lively.

“We are very proud to have created this style wine for our customers to enjoy especially amongst young people and women, who appreciate its transparent red color, lightness, extraordinarily rich bouquet and low alcoholic content,” said Anthony Carone, Owner and Winemaker of Vignoble Carone. “At Carone we are always looking for ways to differentiate ourselves and, like all our wines, this new release offers a great quality-price ratio.”

Vignoble Carone will be doing a tasting of Novello Friday, December 16th at the Marché des Saveurs, 280 Place du Marché in the Marché Jean-Talon from noon to 8:00 PM.

Vignoble Carone’s wines are available for sale at the winery, at the Marché des Saveurs
in Montreal, at selected restaurants across Quebec and via the Internet at: www.vignoblecarone.com.
