Caravan of Limos to Deliver Toys to Schneider’s Children’s Hospital
The Nassau Suffolk Limousine Association will use a caravan of limos to deliver hundreds of toys to Schneider Children’s Hospital on Monday, December 19, 2005.
(PRWEB) December 12, 2005 -- The Nassau Suffolk Limousine Association has completed its annual toy drive and will be marking the end of this drive with a very special delivery to Schneider Children’s Hospital. On Monday, December 19, 2005 more than two dozen members of the association will gather at 10:00 a.m. at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville, New York.
From this location, a caravan of more than 20 luxury limousines, buses and vans stretching almost a quarter mile will be escorted by police to Schneider Children’s Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. The limousines, many of them full of toys, will be led by Santa Claus himself in an antique white Rolls Royce. The Caravan of Toys is expected to arrive at the Hospital at approximately 11:00 am. At that time Santa and his helpers from the Association will present the toys to representatives of the hospital. Toys will later be given to children who are patients at the hospital and unable to go home for the holidays.
“We have been collecting toys for several weeks and we are very pleased by the support of our members and friends,” said Matt Silver, owner of Ultimate Class Limousine and Caravan of Toys coordinator.
“The Nassau Suffolk Limousine Association is comprised of a group of individuals who care about the community, and especially helping children. I want to thank our members and the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University for graciously providing us with a location for the staging area and starting point. This is the second year that we have done this event and we are certain that we will bring some joy and happiness to the children at Schneider Children’s Hospital and their families,” said Nassau Suffolk Limousine Association President Peter Giordano.
