Holiday Magic For Hospitalized Children

A Holiday Magic CD sparkling with artists and media celebrities brings entertaining joy to hospitalized children.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 10, 2005 -- “Holiday Magic 2005, A Gift for Children of All Ages,” is an entertainment CD featuring music, stories, and a special holiday tale that will be distributed to sick children and their siblings at hospitals.

The CD brims with collectible treasures from a roster of sparkling artists and media celebrities, including award-winning anchor Beth Shelburne of KFMB-TV, loved author and film talent Vanna Bonta, and KyXy 96.5fm director Sam Bass. Among many musicians contributing their entertaining magic to the collection are movie and television composer Sharon Farber, innovative harpist Bobbie Jo Curley, TV episodic hit songwriter Meredith Chapman, Karl Anthony, Eve Selis, and Kerry Michael Warren.

Throughout the CD, a narrative is weaved by Jeffrey the Reindeer and Santa Claus as they make their way from the North Pole to visit the children of San Diego, California (where the Holiday Magic CD tradition was started three years ago). Along the way, they meet Jeffrey’s cousin, Carlito, who lives at the Wild Animal Park. The script by Mark Patterson stars voice actors Phillip Tanzilo, Greg Dehm, and Jeffrey Gelder playing Santa, Carlito, and Jeffrey Reindeer, respectively.

“This is a labor of love that is received with much joy by children who are unfortunately spending the holiday season in the hospital and their siblings, who often crave attention due to so much being given to the ailing member of their family,” Gelder said.

To join an uplifting effort that makes the season’s warmth permanent, organizations and individuals should contact San Diego-based Gelderhead Productions by December 22 to arrange donations and delivery of the “Holiday Magic” CD to children’s hospitals in their community.

"We must work unceasingly to uplift this nation that we love to a higher destiny, to a higher plateau of compassion, to a more noble expression of humanness"
-Dr Martin Luther King
