Webroot Releases New Spy Sweeper 4.5

Webroot has finally released its much sought after Spy Sweeper 4.5. The need for an advanced Anti Spyware program have never been greater than today and home users as well as corporations are fighting a constant war against malicious Spyware organizations that are out to gather delicate information, invade our privacy and in the most severe cases go as far as to steal a persons whole identity and exploit it for fraudulent deeds.

(PRWEB) December 12, 2005 -- The new Webroot Spy Sweeper 4.5 has been created in order to recognize the ever changing faces of new Spyware. If you think that your computer is protected as long as you regularly update that Anti Spyware program that you downloaded a while a go, think again. If you already have an Anti Spyware program installed on your computer, such as a basic Anti Spyware program downloaded for free, it is most likely depending on Spyware definitions for detecting Spyware in order to sort malicious software from desired downloads.

This means that when a new Spyware is created, your Anti Spyware programs will be totally oblivious to the fact that this is in fact Spyware until it receives a new Spyware definition from the issuing company. Since most computer users have this type of definition-based Anti Spyware programs, a new and unknown Spyware will spread like a wildfire over the Internet and infect hundreds of thousands of computers before it is found out by the major Anti Spyware companies and they begin to include the new definition in their regular updates.

This is where the new Webroot Spy Sweeper 4.5 comes in. The Webroot Spy Sweeper 4.5 uses a new technology known as “FlexDef” for detecting Spyware. FlexDef makes it possible for the program to identify completely new forms of Spyware and Webroot Spy Sweeper 4.5 is therefore capable of detecting Spyware without having to relay on a Spyware definition. This means that your computer will be protected all the time, regardless of how fast the Anti Spyware companies manage to track down the new threat.

Other interesting features in the new Webroot Spy Sweeper 4.5 are the four new Smart Shields that will prevent Active X controls from being installed on your computer, block any communication with malevolent websites renowned for their abundant flora of Spyware, put a halt to any attempt to install those pesky toolbars that nobody wants and finally make it impossible for Spyware to add unwanted Internet Explorer website entries.

Spy Sweeper 4.5 has also been applauded for its outstanding capacity when it comes to removing the sneakiest Spyware of them all – the so called “rootkit” Spyware. Rootkit Spyware is a concealed type of Spyware that will typically stay unnoticed by other Anti Spyware programs. With the new Webroot Spy Sweeper 4.5, you will be guarded even against this new and devious form of Spyware, despite the fact that this form of Spyware has been specifically created in order to stay undetected.
