Dubbed the next The Blue Day Book, Angelic Dreams has reached 31,000 in print in Australia (over 26,000 re orders and still going strong). An achievement by someone who knew nothing about being an author, a publisher or a business man!

(PRWEB) December 11, 2005 -- Author and publisher George Helou says he’s grateful that readers have taken a fancy to the book, which is full of inspirational and lofty thoughts.

"I knew nothing about the industry and even about being a published author!" he said. “Australians have definitely given the thumbs up to Angelic Dreams, a title that could not even attract a mainstream publisher."

Mr Helou set up his own publishing company, Light Heart Productions, after other book publishers turned him away.

“It was a long and challenging road and I almost gave up!” he says. “In the end, the artist of the photographic images, Bernard Rosa convinced me to self publish.”

Mr Helou is inspired by the success of The Blue Day Book, which failed to get a break in Australia, forcing the author Brad Greive to go to America. It has now sold over 250,000 copies in Australia.

“Australia is a tough and very conservative market,” Mr Helou says.

But since getting the book on the shelves, the fan mail has been incredible.

“The experiences some people have had while reading the book is nothing short of amazing - like emotional healing and great coincidences that defy all odds,” he says.

“One gentleman from southern Queensland said he almost couldn’t put the book down for weeks and would randomly open it to different sayings for inspiration. “He said that the amount of coincidences that he experienced led to him finding his mother who he had not known his whole 38 years of life!”
