Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 15, 2005

The 2005 World Series Trophy will be on display at the 60th Annual Pitch & Hit Club of Chicago Awards Dinner set for Sunday, January 15, 2005 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The World Series Trophy recently won by the Chicago White Sox is awarded each year by Major League Baseball to the team winning the World Series. Recent trophy designs consist of 30 flags representing the 30 teams in North America's two top leagues, the National League and the American League. The 2005 trophy was made of brass and pewter, weighs 30 pounds (14 kg) and has an estimated value of $15,000. A small charitable contribution gives you an opportunity to take a picture with the trophy. This will be one of the last photo opportunities for the year.

Fox broadcaster Steve Lyons and Chicago Radio Personality Tom Shaer will double team the Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

An autograph session featuring Detroit Tiger Curtis Granderson, former major league players like Ron Coomer, Dan Pasqua, Buzz Capra, Bill Pierce, Rich Nye, Hal Lanier, Eric Soderholm, John Cangelosi, Larry Monroe, Bill Campbell, Bill Sharpe, Gene Hiser, Howie Bidell, and Tony Cogan, along with Chicago-area minor league players will take place from 4:00 PM-5:30 PM. Secretary of State, Jesse White and White Sox organist, Nancy Faust, will be entertaining the crowd during the autograph session as well.

The dinner begins at 5:30 PM followed by the after-dinner awards program at 7:00 PM. Award winners include Chicago Cubs Derek Lee and Carlos Zambrano, Curtis Granderson, Chicago White Sox Executive Roland Hemond, and many others.

Dinner updates and any additions to the dinner lineup will be posted regularly at pitchandhitclub.org. and available via this website.
