Freebirds World Burrito Gives Bicycles to Neal Elementary Students
Freebirds Freebikes program awards bikes, helmets and locks to local elementary school winners of essay / picture contest.
(PRWEB) December 14, 2005 -- Freebirds World Burrito, the Texas-based fresh fast casual restaurant known for its Monster burritos, will give away 12 new bikes, helmets, and locks to 12 lucky Neal Elementary students. Through its Freebikes program, now in its seventh year, Freebirds will award bikes and accessories to the winners of a school-wide essay / picture competition. One boy and one girl from each grade level Kindergarten through fifth grade will win.
Freebikes will take place during an assembly on December 15th at 9:00 AM Central at Neal Elementary. A bicycle safety presentation to be presented by James Hauke, a representative of the Bryan Police Department, will be incorporated into the presentation assembly for the benefit of the entire student body.
The Freebikes program began in 1999 when Freebirds World Burrito instituted the community action program. Throughout the year, Freebirds customers donate money through the local restaurants to help support the program.
