Personal Trainer Makes Online Training Easy and Affordable, Even from Far Away

San Antonio Fitness and Nutrition Expert Boyd Myers utilizes the internet to provide online personal training all the way from Baghdad, Iraq.

(PRWEB) December 14, 2005 -- To many, Iraq is viewed as a lawless, war torn country that is in the infancy of democracy, taking its first steps without the guidance of an oppressing dictator. For Personal Trainer Boyd Myers, it just happens to be a place to temporarily base his successful fitness training and nutritional counseling business. Accepting a government contracting job as a computer engineer at Camp Victory on the outskirts of Baghdad hasn’t prohibited this personal trainer from assisting several people in reaching their fitness goals, no matter what those goals may be or where the individual is physically located.

“I’ve been training others since early 1997. A few years ago, I began using the internet as a tool to assist more individuals from around the world to reach their fitness goals,” says Boyd, whose resume contains over 400 clients, including professional football players, models, professionals, housewives, and many others. “Training is something that I love to do, and even though I’m currently not able to train as many people in person as I would like, I’ve been able to assist many people in their fitness endeavors.”

Using a sophisticated library of exercise videos, email, and instant messenger programs, Boyd creates easy to follow fitness and nutrition programs for individuals no matter what their goals may be. Since arriving in Baghdad several months ago, he has assisted professional athletes with their nutrition, high school athletes with programs to become faster and stronger, and post-natal mothers with losing that extra weight gained during pregnancy, all via the internet, and at a fraction of a cost of an in-gym personal trainer.

“I realize that personal training can be very expensive,” says Boyd. “Many people are attracted to the idea that they can have a professional personal trainer online at a much lower cost, but still have complete access to their trainer to answer any question that they may have about their program or other obstacles they encounter.”

Boyd attributes the success of his online clients to the anonymity of the internet. He feels that the most difficult step of asking someone else for help is made quite a bit easier, since all the communication that is required is an email or a telephone call.

“I find that it is easier for people to be more open and communicate via email about their progress and their concerns,” adds Boyd. “I really focus on spelling out every detail for clients so that they have a concise game plan to help them get from where they are to where they want to be. I love interaction with my clients, but I also realize that some are more private and prefer to workout on their own. I honestly feel that online training is the future of the personal training industry.”

Myers believes that many people have the motivation to exercise and workout, but some lack the necessary guidance to turn their goals into reality. He believes that the internet has given him the opportunity to help as many people as possible achieve their goals.

“The benefits of exercise are no secret. Most anyone can reach their fitness goals in as little as 12-15 weeks,” states Boyd. “The internet has given me a tool to overcome the obvious distance and limited time I would normally have to meet with clients face to face.”
