Convicted of 4 murders for 1981 robberies and sentenced to death. From Deathrow he denounced gang life, wrote anti-gang and children books, was nominated six times for the Nobel Peace Prize. He was executed by lethal injection December 13th at San Quentin's States Prison Deathrow.

Epps who has received many accolades including Best Documentary Award

SOHP has been described as "a raw uncompromising film about the evolution of a black culture dealing with very complex social, economic, environmental and gang-related violence issues. SOHP screened globally in film festivals and went on to open in theatres in select cities across country.
